Point Resection

You can use a series of observations to resect a point position.

Rules:
1. All resection observations must appear sequentially. (no gaps)
2. You must have a minimum of one obs and a maximum of 10 observations.

Calculation Method

Observations can be with a bearing only or a bearing and distance.
A minimum of three bearing observations are required to compute the resection.
A minimum of two bearing and distance observations are required for the calculation.

If more than three obs are present, a least squares solution is computed for the postion.

Point
You can enter the point number to be created, or leave blank to auto allocate a point number

Observations

Point - Enter the Source Obs point number.
You can click any point on the screen for this
Bearing - Enter the Bearing (DDDMMSS) for the obs.
You can click on a line in the job to adopt that bearing
Distance - Enter the Distance value if known.
You can click on a line in the job to adopt that disance
